Attire

 

All dancers, male and female, must keep a tidy appearance.  This reflects on one's training and focus.

*Solid colors following the level color only. 

*Classic V, scoop, and pinched neckline and backs for leotards only. 

*Pull on or wrap ballet skirts only. 

 

 *Dancewear should be purchased from San Gorgonio Ballet. SGB supplies the proper attire needed to stay within the Director's approved dress code and the traditional dress code for Ballet training.

Parent & Me Ballet

Girls wear a pastel-colored leotard (light pink, light blue, light purple, light yellow etc.), pink tights, and pink shoes. (pastel attached or unattached skirt may be worn)

Boys wear a white tee or tank shirt (form-fitting and tucked in), black tights, pants or shorts, black or white split-sole ballet shoes, and black or white socks.

Introductory Ballet

Girls wear a Light Pink leotard, pink tights, and pink shoes. (Light Pink attached or unattached skirt may be worn)

Boys wear a white tee or tank shirt (form-fitting and tucked in), black tights, black or white split-sole ballet shoes, black or white socks.

Level I / I-II 
Girls wear a Light Pink leotard, pink tights, and pink shoes. (Light Pink unattached skirt may be worn)
Boys wear a white tee or tank shirt (form-fitting and tucked in), black tights, black or white split-sole ballet shoes, black or white socks.

 

Level II

Girls wear a Light Purple leotard, pink tights, and pink split-sole ballet shoes. 

Boys wear a white tee or tank shirt (form-fitting and tucked in), black tights, black or white split-sole ballet shoes, black or white socks, dance belt.

Level III
Girls wear a Purple leotard, pink tights, and pink split-sole ballet shoes.
Boys wear a white tee or tank shirt (form-fitting and tucked in), black tights, black or white split-sole ballet shoes, black or white socks, dance belt.

Level IV
Girls wear a Light Blue leotard, pink tights, and pink split-sole ballet shoes.
Boys wear a white tee or tank (form-fitting and tucked in), black tights, black or white split-sole ballet shoes, black or white socks, dance belt.

Level V
Girls wear a Royal Blue leotard, pink tights, pink split-sole ballet shoes.
Boys wear a Royal Blue tee or tank (form-fitting and tucked in), black tights,  black or white split-sole ballet shoes, black or white socks, dance belt.
 

Jazz or Modern Master Classes and Workshops
Black leotard (boys wear a form-fitted black tee or tank shirt) black tights, black jazz shoes (Jazz) bare feet (Modern). No jazz boots/sneakers. Jazz pants may be worn in Jazz Class Only.

Accessories
Warm-ups may be worn at the barre up to Rond de Jambe only.
*Girls: Colors matching level color or solid black or light pink   *Boys: Colors matching level color or solid black. 

*All warmups must be form-fitting.
Jewelry:  No large or dangly earrings, watches, or other jewelry allowed in class. Small earrings and a single ring are accepted.

Hair and Nails
Hair must be neatly combed and out of the face.
*Girls: Secure bun. If very short hair please wear a headband.
*Boys: Hair must be properly groomed. If you have near shoulder-length hair, please pull it back with a headband, or secure it with a ponytail.

Fingernails and toenails must be properly groomed and at a reasonable length. Extra-long nails can cause injury to one's self and other dancers. No fake fingernails, dark or bright-colored nail polish, or nail art, please. Natural tones are accepted.

Free Dress Week is the last week of every month. Any color leotard can be worn, black tights for intermediate and advanced dancers can be worn, and skirts can be worn at any time. However, please remain in the proper attire for Ballet.
